Homemade Strawberry Yogurt (Reduced Sugar)
Fresh and very berry yogurt
I never buy flavoured yogurts. Why is that? Because they have so much unnecessary added sugar in them, which I really don´t want in my system. Also they rarely have real fruit in them. So what do I do when I feel like eating flavoured fruit yogurt? I make it myself.

No, I don´t make the yogurt itself myself, I wish I would, but I haven´t had the time to try do it and so until then I just use the natural or unflavoured yogurt from the shop. Then you just need any fruits or berries in season, or you can also use frozen. Isn´t that just great? You take the yogurt, you add the fruit to it, you add some healthy sweetener or you leave it out, blend it and you have a delicious homemade yogurt with exactly what you want and no unnecessary added sugar!

Todays recipe is with fresh strawberries, as they were in season when I was making this recipe, but as said above you can also get creative and make it with any other fruit.

Make the yogurt fresh and enjoy it right away! You can thank me later :)

2 tbsp agave syrup

Some more strawberries, cubed

DIRECTIONS

-
Blend strawberries and half of the yogurt with an immersion blender shortly.
-
Add the rest of the yogurt and mix well.

Add the agave syrup and mix well.
-
Transfer the yogurt into dessert glasses and decorate with some fresh strawberries.

TIP. If you want to make a thick yogurt, use a creamier and thicker unflavoured yogurt. I used fat free yogurt and the result was more like drinking yogurt.
